Besides the now famous annual Mortlach Sasktoonberry Festival (first Saturday in July)(see tab in menuu), we have all sorts of cool things to see and do- here are a few of them!


Photo: photoArtcanada.com  has a gallery filled to the rafters in one of the old banks in Mortlach - with amazing wildlife artist taken by world-class wildlife photographer David Krughoff. The gallery is owned and operated by Sharie and David Krughoff.

Right; Crocus Ridge Gallery has a large selection of Saskatchewan arts and crafts- and a few other things to boot!

 

 A good neighbour of ours is Prairie Berries - just a few miles north of Mortlach. Their orchard is on its way to becoming the largest Saskatoon berry orchard in the world.

Horseback Riding; Photo: The Mortlach Riding Arena Association has riding lessons during the week and events are planned for the season from Nay to October.

   Field Dog Trials- some have been coming from the US for 20 years...

    Walking & Riding Trails : The Canadian Forest Service;The forest is less than    one kilometre from  Mortlach on the east side of the TCH.

Photo: Mortlach's nine hole sand green course is located approximately 1/2 mile west of Mortlach, and has lovely views.

Right- People drive for miles to see what Ken's got for show and tell at his fabulous rock shop, Thunder Creek Trading Post and Rock Shop....

Going Nowhere are you? 'Nowhere' is the name of a most amazing international candy shop in Mortlach!

Enjoy some freshly made scones with 'real' strawberry preserves on the side- and a kind of cream you can slather on top.... with tea (it's called 'Cream Tea) at the Country Garden Tea Shop- come for a taste of Wales... or some other freshly made food.

Right; Check out "The Urban Painter Studio Gallery" Still a place for adults and children to paint and create also a larger space - totally refurbished as a gallery. In the lane behind the Teahouse....
