On its way across in December, the CPR Canadian Holiday Train makes an unforgettable ten minute stop at our village just after 8:00am. There is singing of carols at the caboose- food is collected for the food bank. Afterwards, much of the village comes together for a pancake and sausage breakfast with muffins and fruit - all supplied and prepared by volunteers. The children are back to school by 9:30am for a late start.
So far the event has occurred in 2007 & 2008 and we look forward to 2009.
It is a lovely event! Thanks to Rose for managing to get the train to stop at our village, and thanks to all the volunteers who prepare and clean up after breakfast. And thank you to the photographers for sharing photos!
