Treasurer’s Report - 14,222.02 – which includes the $5,000.00 donation from TransCanada Pipelines; the final payment has not been made on the sidewalk yet; nor has the $4,000.00 been received from the Centennial Planning Committee.
Old Business
Notice of Motion –Motion Ron to assist the construction of a wooden sidewalk ($1500.00)
for a business that will be situated south of the Village Square and Christmas Tree towards
Railway Avenue

Welcome Wagon – MCDA is now funding this project; Cheryl Searle will continue
to help with the visiting when needed.

Christmas Train is stopping at Mortlach , Potluck Breakfast to follow
Beginning of January – Computer Classes at the school – Karin Simrose instructor

February 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th – United Church Dinner Theatre
Events being planned–Larry Hiles from the Regina REDA and Investment/Financial Advisor/Retirement Planner
Museum – the October minutes were incorrect – Mortlach Firehall/Museum is now registered in the Saskatchewan list of Heritage Buildings; the Saskatchewan Board has to nominate the
museum for the Canadian List, it can apply for grants; currently 2 are being applied for.
Pioneer Machinery – they are expecting more machinery in the spring.

Family Fun Day/ Saskatoon Berry Festival July 5, 2008
Coordinator Teresa, Committee Members: Marilyn and Sue
Motion Teresa that the MCDA will contribute the Family Fun Day portion of the Saskatoon Berry Festival
Add an extra hour to the Library Time
Motion that the MCDA contribute a sum not greater than $700.00 to cover the cost of adding another hour to the library operation
New Hours would be: Tuesday 1 – 4, Wednesday 4 – 8, Friday 1 – 4, and Saturday 1 – 4.
Treasurer – Joan nominated Marj Gardener to be treasurer
Marcia will send a card of Congratulations from the MCDA to Ken Galloway, Central Butte
for being recognized with 45 years of service to his community.
A highway sign to list upcoming events is being made.
Walking Path – coordinator Sylvie; Ken will help; there is a grant of $3500.00 available from
Sask Trails
