May 23, 2009 the Village of Mortlach held an special event for John Bennett; the Society for Creative Anachronism came to host a Medieval feast at our community hall. It was a wonderful event. Many people rented costumes (some, reluctantly), but when it was all said and done, it was fun to dress up. It was a very interesting and entertaining event. Some people really got into the spirit and there was a lot of kissing and bowing and scandalous behaviour which Puss n' Boots was always so eloquent to point out. The food was fabulous- as authenitically medieval you could get and still be delicious.
